FLAX 傅刘所

To expand a productive dialogue between Colin Fournier + Joshua Lau on the Ideal City, X was founded in 2012 in Hong Kong by the duo as a bolt-on organization and was later demerged from tetra in 2016. The mentor-protege duo continues their conceptual dialogue across London and Hong Kong focuses on radical ideas, urbanism and city. Colin Fournier is the co-architect of Kunsthaus Graz in Austria, who teaches at UCL Barlett and as a visiting professor at CUHK, the studio concentrates in avant-garde, radical architectural design and research on urban planning theories and Joshua Lau, a renowned young curator/architect in the region, who recieved the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Awards in 2006 and was the first curator for China/Hong Kong Pavilion at the Venice Biennale of Architecture. The duo were appointed as Chief and Executive Curator (Culture), directed the Hong Kong Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture with the controversial title, An "Ideal City?". In 2017 The duo runs their parallel studio Fournier/Lau Architecture X, or aka FLAX to continue their works on city in a global scale.

为推动師徒对理想之都命题的合作《X 研究所》2012年在香港以加盟组织身份成立，於2016年从肆合设计分拆独立，師徒组合傅轲林教授（Prof. Colin Fournier）及主持人刘柏坚后继续伦敦与香港概念性的讨论、实践及城市理论。傅轲林教授其中最著名的作品为位于奥地利Kunsthaus Graz 现代美术馆。刘柏坚是香港著名年青策展人及建筑師，曾获2006香港建筑師学会建筑作品年奖，是中国香港馆首位威尼斯双年展策展人。俩師徒也是香港深圳城市建筑双城双年展的总策展人及文化执行策展人，推动具争议性命题“理想之都？”。於2017师徒独立后组合成立了FLAX傅刘所，以更清晰的思维延续对城市的工作，活跃於世界各地。
